Membership

Library membership is free to all residents of Baie-D'Urfé, and each member may borrow up to 9 items for a 3 week period. Non-Resident user fees are posted at the library.

The library's fine-free policy

Even though the Baie-D'Urfé Library has eliminated late fees for all of our borrowable materials, the following still applies:

All items are borrowable for a three week loan period with one possible renewal. There are no late fees, but we continue to ask our users to respect the borrowing period, as others may be waiting for these items.
We do send email notifications to remind users about items that are coming due or overdue.
Items that are lost, damaged, or not returned after three months will result in a replacement fee in addition to a $10.00 processing fee. An exception is made for magazine issues, where there will only be a $10.00 processing fee per issue.
Fees for items that are lost, damaged, or not returned cannot be waived by purchasing a replacement copy for the library.
Please note that fines for items that are lost, damaged, or not returned will be maintained. Accounts will be blocked if fees of this nature are unpaid, and will remain blocked until payment of said fees are received.
